Locally sourced food, good company, excellent service, and great prices can all be found at Brownstone Restaurant, a fixture of the Kamloops dining scene since 2004. The ultimate goal when they opened was to produce delicious cuisine in a homey atmosphere with welcoming service, and they have definitely succeeded.
Be sure to grab an appetizer to start. Favourites include the charcuterie board with many of the items on the plate made in-house. Crusty breads, creamy cheese, paired with meats and jams — it can't be beat. The Brownstone Poutine is also one-of-a-kind; it's made with truffle duck fries, aged cheddar, and topped with roast chicken and lobster gravy. For your main course, the options are all decadent and delicious. Vegetarians love their lemon risotto with peas, mint, and brown butter sliced almonds. The burger is a popular option among meat-eaters; it mixes maple-glazed short rib with ground beef sirloin, brisket, and chuck, bacon, cheddar, black garlic mayo on brioche. The menu does change based upon what comes in seasonally, so you’ll never be bored.
