“Committed to the belief that art is an essential part of the human experience,” the Kamloops Art Gallery has been serving the southern interior of British Columbia since its debut in September 1978.

At this community hub, which is just a short distance from Peterson Landing, art enthusiasts can explore exciting works of art within a 4,500-square-foot exhibition space. On view now through Dec. 31, for example, is All membranes are porous, a special exhibition that “addresses the body in relation to knowledge, intimacy, loss, death, class, race, community, aging, architecture, nature, abstraction, movement and intervention.”

Stop by to discover the talents of Canadian artists, and be sure to keep tabs on the gallery’s special events. These include an Art History Happy Hour, DIY Thursdays, and Drink & Draw events at local pubs.
